Moving to the Music

Music can bring so much joy to our everyday lives. Listen for key lyrics or phrases in the songs below and do the movement associated with each one. Moving to the Music is a great way have fun and practice our listening skills all while moving our body!

 

HERE’S HOW YOU DO IT:

Thunder – Imagine Dragons

                Every time you hear “Thunder” do a jumping jack

                Every time you hear “Lightning” do a squat

                Balance on one foot in between each chorus

 

Sorry – Justin Bieber

                Start with a side shuffle to either direction

                Every time you hear “Sorry” do a lunge and switch directions for your side shuffle

 

Cha Cha Slide

                Listen to the lyrics to do the dance

 

Baby Shark

                During “Baby Shark” verse do bunny hops in place

                During “Mommy Shark” verse do right foot flamingo hops

                During “Daddy Shark” verse do left foot flamingo hops

                During “Grandma Shark” verse do front to back bunny hops

                During “Grandpa Shark” verse do side to side bunny hops

                During “Let’s Go Hunt” verse do twist jumps

                During “Run Away” verse run in place

                During “Safe at Last” verse stretch it out

                During “It’s the End” verse dance it out
