Hy-Vee KIDSFIT Goals

Goal setting is a good life skill to learn. You can set goals for yourself with exercising.

For example:

  • Right NOW, I can do a plank for 25 seconds with perfect form.
  • In the future, I WANT to be able to plank for 45 seconds in one month.

Let’s make a list of goals you want to achieve by working out with Hy-Vee KidsFit. It’s important to make your goals realistic, meaning they shouldn’t be too hard. But you don’t want to make them too easy either.

Here are a couple examples:

  • I will drink 8 glasses of water every day.
  • I want to cross the monkey bars without stopping.

This Goal Setting Worksheet  is a great tool to understand how to set goals and taking action to achieve them. Please print and ask your parent or guardian to sit down with you to help complete.

Now that we have a written list of what you WANT to achieve, put the list somewhere you can see them every day. Tell your mom, dad, sister, brother or friend about your goals. They can help you reach your goals by holding you accountable and keeping you motivated. Stay motivated by using the 5-Week Fit Report as a daily reminder to spend 10-15 minutes each day working on yourself.
